Abstract
629,592. Steam separators. NATIONAL PNEUMATIC CO. Jan. 28, 1946, No. 2748. Convention date, March 2, 1945. [Class 64(ii)] [Also in Group XXVIII] Condensed moisture is removed from the bottom of a compressed air reservoir 42, Fig. 3, through a conduit 47 by means of a cylinder 10 in which reciprocates a piston assemblage formed with a chamber 38, Fig. 1, disposed between and in fixed relation to opposite ends of the assemblage, and which becomes charged with moisture through an inlet 34 when the piston is at one end of its stroke as shown and becomes discharged to atmosphere through an outlet 36 when the piston reaches the other end of its stroke. A second chamber 39 then registers with the inlet 34 and becomes discharged when the piston returns and the chamber 39 registers with a second outlet 36<SP>1</SP>. The piston is actuated by air pressure against a spring 32 at each turn of a valve 44 in the compressed air delivery line 45.
