Abstract

628,937. Lamp-holders. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and COLEMAN, A. S. Sept. 8, 1947, No. 24667. [Class 38 (i)] An insulating platform 13 movable in the body 1 of a bayonet-type lampholder carries on one side two lampengaging contacts 12 which are connected by resilient supply contacts 15 to wedgeshaped contacts 9 on the holder base 5, the contacts 9, 15 being shaped to bias the platform against a shoulder 2 in the body. The platform is prevented from rotating by ribs 7 in the body and the shoulder is slotted at 3 for the lamp bayonet pins. According to the Provisional Specification the lamp may be prevented from overshooting the bayonet slots by the ribs.
