Abstract
627,875. Winch bed plates. MOORE & CO., Inc., L. C. Nov. 29,1946, No. 35451. Convention date, Dec. 5, 1945. [Class 78 (v)] [Also in Groups XXIV and XXVI] A foundation for supporting the various sizes of draw works and engines used in well boring apparatus comprises rigid substructure A mounted on skids 1 and having on the upper suface longitudinally extending beams 2 to which are secured at one end transverse channel beams 12 and on the other end a frame B. The frame B consists of two girders 7 spaced apart by girders 8 at a width equal to that of the substructure A and it can be moved so as to extend partly beyond the substructure A to increase the length of the platform formed by the girders 12 and the frame B on which the draw works rest. The outer end of the frame B may be supported by a brace which is connected to the end of the sub frame and to various positions on the frame B. To increase the width of the foundations, two substructures are rigidly connected together the frame A and the girders 12 of each foundation being swung through 90 degrees and secured to the beams 2.
