Abstract
627,089. Pressure gauges. KOTKAVUORI, K. I., and LOFSTROM, K. G. M. Feb. 25, 1947, No. 5469. Convention date, April 5, 1946. [Class 106 (ii)] In a hydrostatic altimeter or the like of the kind comprising a manometer 21 and a vessel 22 containing air at a particular reference pressure, instead of providing the usual two-way valve between the vessel and the manometer, whereby the reference pressure can be adjusted or placed in communication with the manometer, the reference pressure is adjusted through the liquid in the manometer, two heart-shaped enlargements 23 being provided in the U-tube to allow air at excess pressure to bubble through the liquid.
