Abstract
627,059. Circlips. WALDES KOH-I-NOOR, Inc. Nov. 11, 1946, No. 33492. Convention date, Dec. 7, 1944. [Class 89 (ii)] [Also in Group XXVI] Machine parts are restrained from axial displacement on shafts and in the bores of housings by devices comprising closed circular rings with resilient fingers projecting inwards and outwards respectively. A ring 10 is blanked from sheet stock with fingers 11. These are bent to an angle such that the ring may be pressed over a shaft 19 into contact with a mounted member 20 but movement in the reverse direction will be resisted. The rings are heat treated after blanking. To increase the rigidity, the body 10 of the ring may be corrugated either as shown at 16, Fig. 4, or in the reverse direction.
