Abstract

626,582. Sandals. GOLDSMITH, P., (formerly GOLDSCHMIDT, P.). July 10, 1947, No. 18295. [Class 17 (ii)) The ends of the strap members 6, 7, 8 which form the upper of a sandal are turned inwards and secured to the upper face of the sole 1, which is preferably of rubber and has a peripheral upstanding lip 2 and an arch support moulded integral therewith. The foot supporting surface is made flush by the insertion of an insole 4, Fig. 2, which has recesses 5 cut into its edges to accommodate the strap ends. A thin sock 12 may be stuck to the top of the insole. Specification 516,660 is referred to.
