Abstract

626,444. Liquid storage tanks. FIREPROOF TANKS, Ltd., and LOCKE, W. F. Aug. 28, 1947, No. 23880. [Class 69 (i)] Within a rigid housing 1 a flexible liquid container 4 is installed and supported by cords, wires or tapes 6, which are threaded through guide members 3, 5 provided on the housing 1 and on the container 4. A free portion 7 of each cord 6 projects from the housing and, when pulled, causes the container to be drawn into the housing. In one form, each cord is anchored at one end to a guide fitting on the housing, the other end projecting outside the housing, and in a second form the ends of each cord are free and project beyond the housing, whilst a third form has both ends of each cord anchored to the container, a loop between the ends projecting from the housing.
