Abstract

626,443. Liquid storage tanks. FIREPROOF TANKS, Ltd., and LOCKE, W. F. Aug. 28, 1947, No. 23879. [Class 69 (i)] A method of supporting a flexible liquid container 6 within a rigid housing consists of providing either on the upper side of the container or on the underside of the housing, projections which co-operate with runners secured on the other member. Preferably the runners are secured to the underside of the housing and the projections which may comprise continuous or discontinuous strips 7 are secured to the container'by webbing 8 that is stuck to the container and which passes through slots 10, 11 in each strip 7. To facilitate assembly when entry to the runners is obstructed by the ends of the housing, the runners are each formed in two sections 3, 12, the section 3 having a belled end 9 which accommodates the section 12 that is finally secured in position by a screw through a hole 5. In this case the length of each strip is less than that of a runner 12.
