Abstract
626,400. Automatic temperature control systems. SEVILLE, J. R. April 17, 1947, No. 10255. [Class 38 (iv)] In a gas-fired oven or furnace having a control arrangement comprising a main gas control tap a, a magnetically operated and thermostatically controlled valve c between the source of gas supply and the main tap a, and a byepass tap d across the magnetic valve c, an indicator comprising three lamps f, g, h, controlled by two switches associated with both the main and byepass taps is provided. The lamps are arranged so that lamp f is lit when the main tap a is shut, lamp g when, the byepass tap d is open and the main tap a open, and lamp h when the main tap a is open and the byepass tap d shut. A switch, open only when the magnetic valve c is shut, is provided so that the circuit of the magnetic valve c and that of the lamps f and h may be broken; also a gasflow gauge e and flame-failure detector may be provided.
