Abstract

626,347. Chairs. TAN-SAD CHAIR CO. (1931), Ltd., and GABB, A. H. Nov. 23, 1946, No. 34786. [Classes 52 (i) and 52 (ii)] A chair has its back pivotally connected to a pair of levers pivoted at their lower ends on a fixed portion of the frame each lever being pivotally connected to a plunger mounted within an arm of the chair and slidable against a resilient loading. As shown the pivotal back 7 is connected by links 10 to levers 15 pivotally mounted on pins 16. Each lever 15 is pivotally connected by a pin 18 to a plunger 19 the reduced end of which projects through a rockably mounted bush 20. Surrounding the remainder of the reduced portion of the plunger 19 are rubber annular bushes 22 held in position by an adjusting nut 23. Loops 24 limit the amount the plunger can be withdrawn from the bush 20.
