Abstract

625,817. Dry shavers. AMSLER, M. April 13, 1946, No. 11411. Convention date, April 13, 1945. [Class 131] In a dry shaver two separate cutters 16, 17 reciprocate longitudinally of an exterior guard which comprises two inner guard plates 1, 2 united by a central channel member 3 and terminating at their outer edges against outer guard plates 6 the cutters being braced together by resilient transverse bridges 21, 22 against which the free ends of a spring-loaded rocker 26, carried by a motor operated driving member 28, bear. The bridges have forked ends 23 and spring tongues 24, detachably engaging slotted extensions 18, 19 of webs of the cutter, and studs 25 on the cutting head, respectively and are provided with recesses 20 to receive the reciprocating driving pin 29 carried by the driving member 28. The ends of the outer guard plates are joined by end plates 7 which have slots 8 in which axles 9 carrying rollers 10 and urged apart by spreader springs are displaceably journalled so that the cutting head can be separated from the shaver body by pulling, the rollers 10 riding over projections 14. The shaver is provided with a large hair receiving cavity 34 separated from the motor chamber 35 by the wall 37 and bush 36.
