Abstract
624,204. Endless-belt conveyers. JOHNSON, E. June 12, 1947, No. 15472. [Class 78 (i)] In a creeper sheet for use in carding engines and other textile machines of the kind comprising a series of parallel transversely arranged wooden laths c secured to the outer surfaces of leather or other flexible endless bands b, the sheet is driven by discs a having open-ended grooves a<SP>1</SP> in their peripheries, preferably substantially of V-section, which are engaged by teeth d of similar section secured to the bands. The teeth have integral shanks d<SP>1</SP> and are retained by riveting. In a modification the teeth have openings through which are passed rivets having heads which rest in recesses in the crowns of the teeth.
