623,677. Concrete fencing. GALE, F. May 10, 1947, No. 12709. [Class 45] A reinforced concrete fence e composed of interlocking members comprises posts A, top and bottom rails D, C each formed in one piece, and palings E spaced one from another and adapted to be received at their ends within correspondingly - spaced individual slots in the rails. The posts A have a vertical slot on each of two opposite sides into which the top and bottom rails D, C, are fitted, each slot terminating in a narrower slot for a gravel board B. The ends of the palings E and the corresponding slots in the top and bottom rails are tapered and the bottom rail C is grooved to take the top of the gravel board B. The edges of the bottom rail and the bottom edges of the top rail are chamfered and the other edges of the top rail are decoratively mounted. A spacing strip F is fitted into the post slot between the rails and a member G is fitted into the slot above the top rail D so that when a cap H is fixed to the post the rails and palings are locked into position. The ends of the rails C, D are chamfered and the members F, G, have correspondingly chamfered ends. All the members A-G are reinforced by a plurality of steel rods. The post is modified when used as a corner post so as to have slots in adjacent sides.
