Abstract
622,749. Railway vehicle couplings. BUCKEYE STEEL CASTINGS CO. Sept. 20, 1946, No. 28260. Convention date, Oct. 9, 1945. [Class 103 (v)] A rail vehicle coupling, more particularly of the interlocking type, but which may be of the " tight-lock " type used in the U.S.A., has the lower half of its aligning wing pocket 11 cut away to avoid interference with air and signal line fittings. As compensation a projecting lug 35 with an inclined ramp 36 is provided centrally at the base of the coupler upon which will rest the shelf flange 34a of an engaging opposed similar coupling.
