Abstract

620.906. Drying clothes. BENDIX HOME APPLIANCES, Inc. Jan. 30, 1947, No. 2915. Convention date, Feb. 20, 1946. [Class 34(ii)] A rotary drum-type clothes airer has an air duct 10 external of the drum which is supplied with air from a fan 28. Located within the duct 10 is an electric heater 30 which heats the air for circulation through the drum and also burns any lint which may be trapped on a wire screen 31 adjacent the heating element. The lint is burnt in small quantities as it arrives on the screen 31 and the ash is said to be negligible. The air is continually re-circulated. a proportion being expelled through an outlet 38 separated from the main air flow by a baffle 36 forming the exhaust passage 37.
