Abstract

618,922. Tubular lamps. HULSMANN, W. C. Nov. 13, 1946, No. 33654. Convention date, Nov. 24, 1938. [Class 75 (iv)] In an indirect lighting fitting having electric wiring and lamps positioned on the concave side of a bent or profiled element, the latter is made of layers of wood or plywood pressed to the desired shape. In the form shown, the bent element 1 is pressed from thin layers of veneer or three-ply plywood and is provided with a reflecting and/or insulating coating on the inside and a decorative finish outside. The bent portion is affixed to a wall batten 3 and wiring and sockets 5 and 6 are mounted on the fitting which may be used horizontally or vertically or, by mitreing the ends of adjoining fittings, may be fitted to corners. The fitting, which may be completely prefabricated, provides a means for adapting existing houses for indirect lighting.
