Lamps forming line of light.-In an inverted trough - shaped, preferably sheet-steel, covering b, having three or more longitudinal reflecting - elements inclined to one another, the sides and ends of the casing are lined with substantially square pieces of fluted silvered glass c held in position partly by the turned-up edges of the casing and partly by fibre &c. strips d. The top of the casing b is provided with ventilating-holes g on each side of the electric wiring trough h, the holes being surmounted by a ventilating cover. In one form, adapted for illuminating a shop window, the casing b is let into the ceiling j with its lower front edge level with the ceiling. The casing b may consist of two or more sections secured end to end by metal tongues or the like, and its outer end is provided with reflecting-sections c.
