Abstract
617,906. Magnets. CARTER, J. G., and NESCO PRODUCTS, Ltd. April 5, 1946, No. 10530. [Class 35] The inner and outer pole pieces of a pot magnet are held in the desired position by cast or moulded non-magnetic material, the mould having lugs to form air vents adjacent the centre pole communicating with the interior of the magnet assembly. As shown, the outer pole 1 has slots 7 to form keys holding the casting 6 between the central pole 2 and the ring magnet 5, the air gap being, determined by the annular projection 4 on the mould 3. The projection 4 is also arranged to provide vents communicating with the magnet interior. Specification 377,461 is referred to.
