[Class 135] [Also in Groups XVII and XVIII] Apparatus for the delivery of measured quantities of liquids comprises a tubular column communicating with a delivery aperture and fitted with annular valve seats with ports opening into a tank, said valve seats co-operat. ing with valves actuated in sequence by projections on a vertically-movable rod. The cover of a tank has a circular depression E from which depends a tubular column comprising valve casings F, G H and J adjustably connected together by means of tubes L The uppermost valve F<1> prevents liquid spilling into the tubu lar column and is a plain disc valve, the valve casing having apertures 8. The other valve casings are fitted with annular valve seats M having ports N opening into the tank and co-operating with valves G<1>; H<1> and J<1> slidably carried on rod R. The tubes L are retained at one end in the valve casings by means of internally and externally screwthreaded rings 10 having radial threaded holes which register with holes in the valve casings and which receive screws 9 having at their outer ends eyes through which extends a locking rod 12 provided at its upper end with an eye for receiving a locking wire. The upper end of rod R carries a cross-head Y having rollers Z which engage the concave stops of a circular double cam 1, the central part of the crosshead being engaged by a forked member 3 in such a manner as to permit axial movement of the rod. Rotation of hand wheel 5 thus raises the rod R in steps and causes the valves C<1>, H<1> and J<1> to be operated in sequence by tappets T against the force of the valve springs S.
