Abstract

[Class 44] [Also in Group VII] A combined spring jaw and adjustable screw clip comprises a body 10 having at its lower end a T-shaped lug 11, with its stem 13 at right angles to and extending away from the body 10. A pintle pin 14 extends through the stem 13, and a clip jaw 17 has eyes 18, 19 which encompass the ends of the pin 14. The slits determining these eyes are extended at 20 and 21 to form a tongue 22, which in the open position of the clip engages the outer face 23 of the lug 11, and in the closed position engages the top 24 of the lug. Since the jaw 17 is of springy metal, the tongue 22 when deflected during closure of the clip is biassed towards gripping position. An outwardly extending metal bushing 25 is fixed to the free end of the jaw 17 and has threaded through it a screw 26, having a gripping disc 27 at its inner end and an adjustment disc 28 at the other end.
