Abstract

611,085. Braiding-machines. HOBOURN. P. L., JOY, W. H., and HOBOURN AERO COMPONENTS, Ltd. March 25, 1946, No. 9056. [Class 74(i)] The thread passes round a hook-on and lifts the usual tensioning weight 9 on its guide post 7 against the action of a spring 8 until the weight reaches the upper abutment 16 of a slotted tubular member 11 slidable in a slotted tubular casing 14: continued upward movement of the weight then lifts the member 11 against the action of a spring 17 (the weight of which differs from that of spring 8) and rotates the pawl lever 5 to release the bobbin 3. A closure member 10, secured to the casing 14, contains a spring-loaded collar 20 which retains springs 3, 17 in position.
