610,525. Pneumatic hammers. DAMAN, P. C. M. Aug. 20, 1945, Nos. 21184,21185 and 21186. Convention dates, Dec. 23, 1943, March 14, 1944, and April 6, 1944. [Class 124] In a pneumatic hammer the transverse grip portion 4 of the handle 1 is resiliently supported upon one or both side arms 2, 7 of a U-shaped handle body through the medium of a bush 13 of rubber or like resilient material interposed radially between a pin 3 or bolt 15 on one part and the internal surface of an outer eye 4a or 14 on the other part. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the grip portion 4 is pivoted about the pin 3 to actuate the sliding rod 8 of a compressedair valve 9 controlled by a spring 10, a projection 5 and recess 6 limiting the movement of the grip portion. In a modification, the pivot-pin 3 is on the side arm 2. Specification 565,783 is referred to.
