Abstract
609,931. Drying ceramic ware. STORDY ENGINEERING, Ltd., SERVICE (ENGINEERS). Ltd., and STORDY, J. J. March 26, 1946, No. 9239. [Class 34(ii)] Trays 26 suspended by studs 27 from an endless chain 22 are carried up into a hood 11 supported on a frame 10. Flues 28, 29 heated by gas jets 30 or other heating means circulate heated air and combustion products within the hood. Additional air is circulated within the hood by a blower 31 which withdraws air level with the underside of the hood and delivers it to a chamber 37 at the top of the hood from which it is discharged through orifices 38. A chimney 40 with an adjustable damper 41 is provided.
