Abstract

609,494. Portable buildings, greenhouses &c. PROSSER, R. L. Nov. 12, 1945, No. 30123. [Class 20(i)] A portable house or shed comprises a set of frames each consisting of two vertical side members F and two rafters or roof members A, characterized in that the rafters A are joined by a link C pivoted at c<1>, c<1> near their upper ends so as to allow of their being folded parallel while leaving a space between them, and in that each side member F is connected to the respective rafter near its outer end by a link plate G whereby it may be folded up inside the rafter and parallel thereto. The side members are mitred at their upper ends to bear against the rafters, and the rafters are mitred where they butt together when the frame is set up, and an angle section D on one rafter is arranged to enter the side e of a T-section E on the other rafter, D and E extending the whole length of the structure. A longitudinal member H secured to each of the link plates G and longitudinal members J secured to the uprights F are detachably secured at their ends to two end frames of the structure.
