Abstract

608,263. Check valves. WALSH, R. Jan. 26, 1946, No. 2645. [Class 135] [Also in Group XXVIII] A combined non-return valve and coupling for beer engines &c., which is inserted in the pipe-line between a barrel and the engine, comprises a casing B and a cover C coupled together by a nut D, and a gravity valve member A having a stem sliding in a bridge. A projection A<SP>2</SP> on the valve member facilitates removal of the latter when the cover is removed. Sockets B<SP>2</SP>, C<SP>1</SP> are provided into which pipes may be soldered. In a modification, screwed sockets of straight or elbow form are fitted.
