[Class 133] In a bag, hold-all, hand case or rucksack constructed to have walls of a predetermined shape and size, some of the walls are made of non - expansible material and the remaining wall or walls made wholly or in part of expansible material consisting of textile material woven with elastic threads included in weft or warp, to allow the normal holding capacity of the carrier to be increased. In a hold-all, as shown in Fig. 2, the side walls 2 are of the expansible material and the end walls 3 and top 4 which may be in one piece and bottom 5 are of non-stretchable material, e.g. leather, imitation leather or plastic. A slit 6 closed by a sliding fastener 7 may be provided on the top part 4 and handles 8 secured by D rings 9 to straps 10 secured to bottom wall 5 permit side walls 2 to stretch freely. In a modification, the holdall has the end, top and bottom walls 3, 4 and 5 of expansible, and the other walls of non-expansible, material. In a dressing or like hand case, as shown in Fig. 5, the top 13 may be made wholly or in part of the expansible material or the expansible material may be restricted to a marginal part 13a with a non-stretchable reinforcement 13b attached to the underside or the centre panel may be of non-stretchable material with the expansible margin material secured thereto. In a rucksack, Fig. 6 (not shown), the flap portion 18 and side walls 20 are of expansible material and the rear and bottom walls 15, 16 of non-stretchable material.
