Class 79 (v)] In an agricultural tractor having a single front steering wheel, the steering column is jointed so that the driver may move it in a vertical plane, so that when in a lowered position it does not obstruct the driver's view and when raised permits a quick steering action. As shown, the tractor comprises a front wheel 1, mounted in forks 2 and attached to the lower half 3 of a steering column which is rotatably mounted in a bearing 4 attached to the vehicle chassis 5. A pair of ears 7 are bolted to the column 3, between which is mounted to pivot in a vertical plane, the upper half 6 of the steering column. The column 6 is provided with a handle bar 9.
