603,335. Electric follow-up systems. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. Nov. 28, 1945, No. 32196. Convention date, Dec. 1, 1944. [Class 40 (i)] A displacement signal is applied from 22, 24 to a thermionic amplifier 30 to control a. servomotor 10 and the amplifier has a feed-back circuit from a potentiometer 50 across the output of the amplifier 30 so that a signal retarding the motor is fed back dependent on the current taken by the motor, i.e. dependent on the speed of the motor and the motor is dead-beat. The motor operates a control surface 16 and rotates rotor 36 to generate a signal in windings 38, 40 in opposition to the displacement signal. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the lead 24 is connected to the junction of winding 14 and an impedance connected between winding 14 and resistance 50.
