[Class 141] A combined corset and brassiere comprises back and side sections common to both garments, and front corset and brassiere sections which overlap and are interconnected by an elastic tape, so that these two sections can move relatively to one another as the body moves. As shown, the garment comprises a back section 10 and side sections each consisting of an inelastic panel 15 and a panel 12 stretchable laterally. A side opening comprises hooks and eyes 21 and a sliding fastener 19 with a hook and eye 20. The front corset section comprising panels 22, 23 extends upwardly at its sides to a point above the waistline 14 and is curved upwardly at its centre to a point 22a which lies between the breasts in wear. This section is strengthened by an inner panel 26 provided with stiffeners 28 which terminate substantially below the upper edge of the panel. The front brassiere section comprises breast pockets 29 and a band portion 30 which extends downwardly to the waistline 14 at its sides, is arched upwardly at its centre, and substantially overlaps the upper end of the panel 22. An elastic band 31 is connected between the upper point 22a of the panel 22 and the central upper point of the breast pockets.
