Abstract
596,712. Vibratory ball mills. HAIM, G., and ZADE, H, P. July 31, 1945, No. 19652. [Class 59] In a vibratory ball mill a plurality of outof-balance weights are arranged round a motordriven shaft so that their relative radial position, or their angular relationship or both, may be varied. A chamber 1, fixed in a cradle 3, mounted on a bearing 4, which is attached to the base 7 by springs 5, is vibrated by the eccentric wheel 11 on a shaft 10 driven through a flexible coupling 9. The spoked wheel 11 may have concentric rings 15, Fig. 4, to which weights 12 are secured by screws 14 or it may be replaced by a disc on which adjustable weights are fixed in T-shaped grooves arranged either concentrically or radially.
