Abstract

596,141. Spring clips ; clothes pegs. GOULD, J. Sept. 10, 1945, No. 23301. [Class 44] In a clothes peg or spring clip of the kind comprising two jaw members 1, 2, and a metal spring 3 with convolutions and a pair of arms, which connects the jaw members together and is located at the pivotal axis, the convolutions of the spring 3 are laterally enclosed within openings or recesses 4 in the jaw members, and the arms of the spring are contained in channel shaped grooves 6 leading to the openings 4. The fulcrum about which the jaws pivot is formed by protuberances 7 on one jaw which enter recesses 8 on the other, or by one such protuberance and one recess on each jaw.
