Abstract

595,327. Wash-drying machines. ROTZ, A. VON. Jan. 22, 1945, No. 1707. Convention date, May 1, 1944. Addition to 595,305. [Class 34 (ii)] In the wash-drying machine described in the parent Specification the stationary filter is replaced by one in the form of an endless travelling band 5 of fine mesh metallic fabric which is mounted on driving rolls 3, also a tensioning roll 4, located below the drying drum 2. Associated with the band 5 is a flock extractor 7 to which suction is applied by a fan 8 exhausting into a flock separator 9 where the flock is sprayed with water and discharged through a drain. The rolls 3 are driven, through reduction gearing, by the motor 10 of the main blower 6 and fan 8.
