Abstract

594,749. Spring forks for cycles. COVENTRYEAGLE CYCLE & MOTOR CO., Ltd., and RAVENHALL, L. July 2, 1945, No. 16719. [Class 136 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXII] In shock-absorbing means for the front forks of cycles and motor-cycles having tubular telescopic fork members, one element 7 of which is rigidly secured to the steering column of the machine, whilst the other one 9 is attached to the spindle of the front road wheel, a plurality of rubber bushes 4 are arranged in superimposition on a rod 5 which is attached to the element 9, metallic washers 10 being interposed between the bushes. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, dumb-bell-shaped rubber bushes 13 are provided.
