Abstract
594,567. Valve super-regenerative circuits. HAZELTINE CORPORATION. March 16, 1945, No. 6745. Convention date, April 14, 1944. [Class 40 (v)] The quench component and its harmonics appearing in the rectified signal of a superregenerative receiver are removed by delaying the signal for a period equal to an odd integral multiple of the half-period of the harmonic concerned and combining the delayed and undelayed signals. Signalsfrom superregenerative valve 10 are rectified by diode 20 and applied to amplifying valve 71 hawing an open-circuited artificial line 73 terminated by its characteristic impedance 74 at the input end. The line gives a delay equal to the halfperiod of the first harmonic so that this component is largely suppressed, the second harmonic being suppressed by valve 72 and line 75. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 also describes a circuit (Fig. 1, Cancelled, not shown), employing acceptor circuits tuned to the first and second harmonics of the quench frequency connected across the output of the diode 20. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification. as accepted.
