[Class 135] A non-return valve, especially for water mains, comprises a flexible disc a controlling the passage between the inlet c and the outlet d, and carried at its centre by a spindle f secured to a flexible washer h. The initial flexing of the disc is adjusted by the set-screw j. A relief valve is provided on the outlet side in the form of a disc m_loaded by a screw p. The discs may be made of stainless steel and encased in, or faced with, rubber.
