Abstract

587,425. Scaffolding clamps. RAYLOR, W. Nov. 15, 1944, No. 22555. [Class 20 (ii)] A putlog coupler comprises a pair of semicylindrical yokes 1, 7 coupled about the tubes 12, 8 to be joined, by pivot 10 and locking eyebolt 5, the yoke 1 having a boss-like extension 11 on one side to bear on the tube accommodated in the yoke 7. The joint at 10 may be by an eyebolt as at 5, and may be on the same side of the yoke 1 as the eyebolt 5, or at the diagonally opposite corner. Play is left in the joints to allow the yokes to accommodate themselves to the tubes to be coupled.
