Abstract
585,801. Injection engines. LIENGME, A. Aug. 20, 1943, No. 13638. [Class 7 (iii)] A combustion chamber 4 is disposed in the upper part of the piston 2 with its opening eccentric to the axis of the piston and fuel is injected into the chamber through an inclined nozzle 5 in a series of separate sprays all of which follow a path angularly disposed to the axis of the chamber. The combustion chamber is formed as a surface of revolution and the point of the nozzle lies eccentric to the chamber axis which is parallel to that of the piston.
