Abstract

[Class 6 (i)] Rotary discharge pans 4 mounted beneath a hopper 1 are arranged so that the rim 5 of the pan is above the level of the outlet of the depending hopper flange 3, and mounted on the bar 8 so that removal of the pan in the direction of the arrow 13 may be effected. The bearings 9 of the spindles 10 carrying the pans 4 are formed with arcuate surfaces pressed by bolts and nuts against the bar 8. Interengaging projections and recesses may be formed on the adjoining surfaces of the bearings and the bar. Scattering devices remove the material from the rotating pans. Specification 535,998 is referred to.
