Abstract

581,441. Rotary pumps. PESCO PRODUCTS CO. Dec. 24, 1943, No. 21643. Convention date; Dec. 12, 1942. [Class 110 (ii)] A pump of the outwardly-sliding vane type has an inlet 24 for liquid, a main outlet 68 and a second, smaller, outlet 28 through which liquid is delivered past a non-return valve 70 to the cooling jacket of a driving motor. An adjustable pressure-relief valve 38 is fitted, and opens when a shut-off valve is closed, but the cooling circuit continues to function. The port 28 is positioned on the upper side of the pump to reduce the risk of foreign matter being carried to the pipe 30.
