Abstract

578,357. Washers. SHILLING, A. H., and PYE, Ltd. Nov. 13, 1944, No. 22300. [Class 89 (i)] [Also in Group XXII] Washers, particularly for use in radio construction &c. are dished at 2 so that the edge rises away from the panel &c. 3 on which a fixing screw 4 is to be used. One or more holes 5 located at the junction of the flat and dished portion permit sealing varnish 6 applied to the head to run through and form a fillet between the washer and panel. In a modification the washer may be cupped loosely to fit the screw head and may be deep enough to prevent the screw-driver from slipping out of the nick. The upstanding edge of the washer may be formed with soldering tags.
