[Class 20 (iv)] For positioning a loose slate or tile relative to a pair of slates beneath it a sheet metal strip 1 formed with a loop or eye 2 at the end of a vertical limb 11 is fitted between the pair so that the loop projects between their edges forming an abutment for the loosened slate and a nail 12 is passed through the loop as to project both above and below it, the upper part overlapping the lower edge of the loose slate and another nail 13 being driven horizontally beneath the first to wedge it in position.
