575,866. Envelopes. HELME, A. April 19, 1944, No. 7200. [Class 146 (ii)] A pay-envolope is constructed so as to enable data concerning wages to be printed thereon which can be checked and the wage counted without opening the envelope completely. One side 10 of the envelope, which is formed with perforations 14 to enable coins to be counted, is provided also with slits AB, CD which constitute a trapezium which can be folded about the short side BC to form a space which registers with the side 12 so as to enable data to be printed on the space before the flap 11 is sealed. A smaller trapezium E.F.G.H. is formed by perforations along the lines EF, GH, and this trapezium registers with a similar one LIJK in the flap 11 when this is folded and sealed after the wages are inserted. A tab 13 is formed by cutting as an extension of the smaller trapezium, and by means of this the envelope may be partially opened to expose the wage data as indicated in Fig. 3, thus enabling the employee to check his wage.
