Abstract

573,898. Gun mountings. MOTLEY, L. June 4, 1941, No. 7088. Addition to 491,217. [Class 92 (i)] The mounting for automatic guns claimed in the parent Specification is modified for operation by a standing as distinct from a seated gunner. The seat is dispensed with and the gunner stands with his body above and his legs straddling the pedestal bearing for traversing the gun about an upright axis. Elevation is effected about a horizontal axis behind both the upright axis and the standing gunner. Two guns movable in unison may be arranged one on each side of the gunner.
