[Class 106 (ii)] A holder for gauge blocks b comprises a member with a slot a<1> against the lower end of which the assembly of blocks is held by screw means, comprising a longitudinallyslidable block c of substantially H-section, the central web-portion of which fits into the slot, while the outside of the block c is screwthreaded and is engaged by a nut d. The block c is positioned roughly by a stop pin f engaging a pair of aligned holes e and the nut d is adjusted to grip the gauge blocks.
