Abstract
569,834. Rulers; set - squares, straight - edges, &c. MARTIN, R. Oct. 13, 1943, No. 16830. [Class 97 (iii)] A draughtsman's rule, set-square, straightedge or like instrument decreases in thickness from or near the ends of its working edges towards the middle and is sufficiently flexible to permit the user to press its under-face into contact with the supporting surface. In Fig. 3 is shown a rule pressed into contact with a supporting surface 15. A set-square is shown in Fig. 5, having the central portion (indicated by broken lines 23, 24, 25) of reduced thickness.
