551,072. Parallel rulers; protractors. MACLEAN, J. D. Feb. 2, 1942, No. 1380. [Class 97 (iii)] A parallel rule is constructed of transparent material M with a metal plate J secured to its lower surface and projecting slightly beyond the outer edge. The metal plate is marked on its upper face with degree markings read through the transparent material thereby minimizing errors due to parallax. Transverse slots C with degree markings are provided at each end as described in Specification 543,881.
