Abstract

569,059. Alloys. HANDY & HARMAN. Oct. 12, 1943, No. 16729. Convention date, Sept. 26, 1942. [Class 82 (i)] Alloys for brazing and welding purposes have the following ranges of composition, viz., silver 44-47.5 per cent, copper in an amount such that the ratio of silver to copper varies between 2.6 and 3.5, and zinc and cadmium in an aggregate amount below 40 per cent with the zinc to cadmium ratio varying from 0.9 to 1.2. Three examples of alloys within these ranges are specified.
