568,897. Securing freewheels on hubs. FITZPATRICK. H., and FITZPATRICK, A. A. May 26, 1943, No. 8375. [Class 80 (ii)] The inner member D, Fig. 4, of a free-wheel has a cylindrical bore and is slid upon a wheel hub P and held in place by a screwed ring N<1>. Projections R on one of the parts D, P engage recesses in the other part. When the invention is applied to a wheel hub having the usual screw-thread C, Fig. 1, the free-wheel member D is mounted on a ring G screwed on the hub. The projections and recesses are formed on the ring G and in the member D.- The outer member E of the free-wheel may carry a number of different sized sprocket wheels.
