Abstract
568,426. Supporting plants; fencing. SANKEY & SONS, Ltd., J., and HELDEN, W. VAN. Aug. 21., 1943, No. 13648.- [Classes 6 (ii) and 45] A sheet - metal frame for supporting plants, cords or wire netting, comprises vertical and horizontal channelled members 10, 11 with sides at right angles to the base and having interengaging ends or parts. The verticals 10 have tongues 15, 16 pressed out forwardly and a rearwardly extending tongue 17. On the horizontals, the flanges are removed at the ends and the protruding web is cut away to form the hook 19 resting over the tongue 15. A slot 18 receives the inwardly-turned end of the part 21. Transverse bars are hooked over the tongues 17. The sides may themselves carry flanged extensions 14 parallel to the web 13, and two members 10 may be erected with their flanges abutting to give a double support. Specifications 234,225 and 295,737, [both in Class 6 (ii)], are referred to.
