Abstract
568,151. Fastening broom handles &c. PETERS, W. C. July 8, 1943, No. 11111. [Class 61 (i)] [Also in Groups XIV and XV] A fastener for broom handles, chair legs, shafts of games mallets, &c. comprises a curved strip of metal a with a hole c at the top end for a fastening screw or nail and with bent-over teeth b at the lower end to engage the socket wall when the handle &c. is driven in, a radially outwardly projecting lug d being cut and bent outwards on each side of the toothed end b to support the strip clear of the bottom of the socket.
